First Time Mamas is a place to pass along useful things with care and honesty. Please follow these rules whenever you list an item, message another member, or leave a review. Marketplace accounts and transactions are for adults aged 18 and older.
Start with the essentials
Our launch categories are baby clothing, maternity and nursing clothing, and children’s books. List only items you own and are entitled to sell or give away. Other categories are not open yet. Recalled, counterfeit, illegal, or unsafe goods are not allowed. Check the exact item against the CPSC recall database before listing.
Show the real item
Use your own current photos and describe the item accurately. Include the size, brand where known, condition, asking price, and what is included. Disclose stains, damage, missing pieces, and other limitations. Keep availability current and remove or hide your listing when it is no longer available.
Keep private details private
Use only your city and state as your public location. Keep exact addresses, phone numbers, children’s names and identifying details, and private conversations out of public listings and reviews. Use on-site messages to ask questions and arrange details. Never share passwords or verification codes.
Agree on the details together
Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing on the price, payment method, pickup or shipping, and any return arrangements. Confirm these details before paying or handing over an item. Inspect items when practical. First Time Mamas does not process payments, hold funds in escrow, arrange delivery, or provide buyer protection.
Treat people with respect
Be considerate, respond honestly, and avoid harassment, pressure, spam, or misleading claims. Reviews should reflect your own experience and disclose any connection to the seller or product.
Help us care for the community
New listings and reviews require approval before publication. Moderators may reject or remove content that does not follow these rules. Approval does not certify an item’s condition or safety. Use the listing’s report or flag option to bring a concern to our attention.
